Can anyone tell me the best cleaner for a headstone? I think it's granite but I'm not sure. Can it be polished after I clean it with some kind of paste wax to make it easier to clean next time?

The bottom (baking) element in my electric oven just sparked and died. Is this something I can fix myself, and if so, where can I get the part and how do I proceed? Any help is appreciated.

I've tried to vacuum but it's so heavy of a powder it's just filling the filter and shutting down my vacuum. I also tried sweeping compound. The entire crawlspace is concrete. You have to use a ladder to get to it because the opening is about 4ft from the basement floor. Would using a wet sponge help or just add to the problem?

I bought a house that has an alarm system in it. Come to find out, the modem is bad. They are telling me I have to pay $200 to get the whole box replaced. Surely, I shouldn't have to pay for the entire equipment when it's just one piece not working...

Are they trying to get over on me?

Have a shack next to a water pump, and the old pump there seems to be knackered. Have an old pool pump which I thought about using in place of it, but suspect it may not be suitable, as it would be constantly pumping water, and not sure what might happen with the taps turned off! Trying to find look around on the net for some tips (on even how to troubleshoot the existing pump), but there doesnt seem to be much about. Any Ideas?

What I mean by that is...can i just take part of a plant and put it directly in water...and can I take a part of a plant and put it directly in soil. Of course the one that I am putting in soil I will add water to. But do you know any plants that can grow that way...but cutting off pieces of them and growing them???
