Walk around barefoot. You will definitely find 'em!

You are NOT going to like this answer, but I am the sad, sad, sad bearer of bad news. I am very qualified to answer this. A vacuum might pick up 10% of the needles and a broom will cause the needles to spring away from the broom. That leaves only one solution: hands, knees, and fingers and time. Yes, you will have to pick up those d***ed needles one by one. No one yet has invented a solution to this problem, but I can assure you that when this invention hits the market, I'll be first in line to get one.

When I was a kid, my dad would pay my brother and me a penny for each pine needle we picked up and gave him. We found this incredibly fun when we were little. Of course, you could use kids in the family, friends' kids, or whoever's up for the task.

You'd have to adjust for inflation, obviously.

Oh, one last thing... watch out for the old "break the needle in half to double your money" scam that we tried (bro is now a lawyer...surprise, surprise).

Vacuming slowly back and forth and does take a few times, the one advantage I noticed is that the pine scent comes back through the vent of bag. You get a second chance of the almost fresh aroma of a real tree.

Vacuum with a good quality vacuum, with an empty bag or dust collector. This gives more suction. Vacuum north to south in small sections, taking your time. Then vacuum east to west in small sections taking your time. It will take a few vacuumings to get all the needles out.

I know the only way for us is to get down on our hands and knees and pick them one by one after vacuuming first....
