Im really worried about my new orchids. Its my first time having them. I ordered two of them off of ebay, which Im starting to think was a mistake.

Before he shipped them, he put the two orchids through some kind of drying out process for a week so they would not rot during shipping. They arrived bare root and pretty dry. I got them a little over a week ago.

Now the spike on one of the plants looks like they teeny buds growing on it are starting to dry up. On the same plant, I have lost 4 bottom leaves since it arrived. They are turning yellow, drying and falling off.

The other orchid I got seemed fine until today, when I noticed a bottom leaf is turning yellow~ This plant only has about 6 leaves! I dont want to loose it! Can I stop it from loosing this leaf? What is going on??? Are they still too dry? THey are potted in orchid bark and planted in orchid pots (the kind with holes in the side) and I water them about every other day until I see

Hello. I got a peace plant for Christmas, and the second I brought the thing back into the apartment it started to droop. So I watered it. And then the next day it was drooping some more. So I watered it again. And then when it kept drooping, I actually looked up Peace Plants and it said beware of over watering. Oops. The plant's not looking too good. The leaves aren't yellow but they are drooping a good deal and both the lillies withered. Any tips on how I might be able to save it? I'd hate to kill my first house plant within a week of bringing it home.

Should I leave the washing machine door open right after use so that the machine can air out? There is almost always leftover moisture and water droplets on the door. My husband is telling me that it is uneccessary and doesn't make a difference. What do you think?

Occasional single tiles have become damaged with holes appearing as bits are broken off. If left, will eventually destroy complete tile. Thought maybe some kind of clear fill which bonds and sets hard might do the trick. Any products available?

I know there was shag carpet, right? but what else? I did a search on google, and a lot of what I found seemed to be in the upper class. what did the homes look like for the middle class? I'm sure someone on here has grown up in a house like that. What did it look like inside? Thanks

There is water pouring from behind the actual shower on the wall when we turn the shower on. When we take the shower head off, it stops leaking - we have replaced the hose and checked that the shower head isn't blocked. Any ideas?

One of our bathroom sinks is very slow when it comes to draining water. I have tried the Liquid Plumber and Drano products, but they don't work as advertised? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Only the front part of the v-shaped rack configuration is accessible to me (and doing any cooling) because the back part is very thick with dust. As a result I have to vacuum much more often; if I don't, there is no cooling at all (happened one time).

The appliance is about 4 yrs old and the fins are underneath it, accessed from the front.

I just bought a house and we found we have a peach tree. When we moved in we found it had beared very small fruit (apricot size). I have been told I may need to prune it back and I have also been told to get space from the two Crepe Mertles (sp?) that flank it. I am a novice gardner and could use some advice. Also when I should prune, I understand is important as how much I prune from the tree.
