We tried all of the available degreasers on the market. All sort of made a difference. Then we tried Domestos, home brand cleaner. Unbelievable success. If not known by this name in your market place I could look up the chemical composition for you.
We poured it on the marks, let it soak in for 10 mins then water blasted the spots and voila.... clean as new.

my ex husband was a mechanic, there is commercial products made for shops but cheapper and just as effective is kitty litter... sprinkle enough on to cover the spill, may leave on over night, sweep up.... we kept a dedicated broom for this because you dont want to use it in the house afterwards....repeat as neccassary, then sweep up.... for the residual left that the litter wont obsorb a gas soaked rag will wipe it up... just be carefull when working with flammable materials.
