No. Bonsai needed a lot of care and attentions. They need watering twice a day, they need grooming, pruning, training and repotting almost all the time. Check with a professional bonsai nursery and they can help you get started if you're a bonsai enthusiast. Good luck!!!!

They need to be trimmed in order to look like bonsais (to stop shoots from growing straight up or straight down, and to make shoots resemble branches). But there's an easy way of doing this, once the initial shape has been decided, just trim the outsides of the tree, in much the same way as you'd trim a hedge. In order to stop the tree from growing too tall, but to keep it healthy, trim the roots back by a third (this is just once every 2 years, in the autumn, then repot it into fresh compost). Lastly, it's much much easier to choose a small-leaved variety that is native to the country you live in, as it's used to the climate. For instance, in the UK choose Yew (Taxus varieties). This way you're not forever fighting nature, but guiding it. Keep it watered, fed and protected from frost in winter and you'll soon have a tree that looks reasonably like a "proper" bonsai that you won't mind the few minutes maintenance spent on it every so often! (Beware though, this can get addictive - at one time I had over a hundred, but have managed over the years to sell and give away most, and now keep just 12 of my favourites)!

Your question isn't specific sufficient to get a nicely suited answer. with a bit of luck your Bonsai got here with a care sheet. regrettably maximum care sheets gained do not conceal each and every thing for a wholesome plant. you will desire to examine and be waiting to spend lots of maintenance time. There are indoor and exterior Bonsai's. in the adventure that your is an exterior plant then sure you may plant it out area offering you grant the right circumstances yet doing so it somewhat is going to not be seen a Bonsai. it somewhat is going to easily be a miniature tree if it survives. Bonsai potential, tray planting.

We kept some English deciduous trees well pruned and trimmed for 15 years. The beech, horse chestnut and sycamore saplings were 'semi-bonsai' and only grew to 24ins. in height with thick stems, and normal size leaves. The roots were not pruned. The containers were around 7ins deep. These specimens, and especially the beech, looked great on the patio in summer.

no they all need care however you could go for a different/easier bonsai tree by using conifer or boxus bushes, that way you can train them into the shape you want, and they are easier than "brought" bonsai trees.

Yes, but first you must determine if you want to keep it inside or outside. There are only a few species that you will want to not get. You'll notice on my website www.american-bonsai.com that there are "indoor" and "outdoor" trees. You're welcome to contact me at
wchoat@american-bonsai.com for more info.
