when i start my washing machine on a cycle, it starts to fill with water (i can hear the water but cant see any) and then after about 15 seconds, the program switch just starts to slowly spin around. have had a blocked filter in the past and when i have emptied it, it seems to work fine, but not anymore. any help would be appriciated. Thanks

Go buy a Fisher and Paykel Intuitive washer and dryer. Top load dryer, so no bending, also 2 years part s and labor come standard. You probably need a new machine, your basement is probably flooding! Checkout Fisher and Paykel, they are awesome and are more effiecient than any front loader, and no more bending...plus they are the only top loading machine to qualify for energy star, even whirlpool will not in 2007, save more $$$

...need more details. If the water is filling the machine tub, then open its door (top load) and see if there's water. Do you have the water turned on where the washing machine hoses connect to water?
(If the answer is no... well, you speculate...)
