hey i am also just like you how cool is that i want to be an interior designor and i am 12 too

have you ever heard of this magazine or company? it's called harth song. in this catalog it has a tracing studio and this has helped me bc now i can draw free hand. the only thing it really has in it is pencils and tracing paper and stencils but i will use it in my carrer some day

you are never to young to persue that kind of desire bc i am already doing my dream! bc my family lets me design there rooms so i have designed my whole house.

GOOD LUCK

p.s. also some websites will help you will your draing skills like searches. just search design skills

Oh wonderful, another interior decorator....

I work on a lot of HGTV's projects as the contractor doing the remodelling work and this is my recommendation: Take some art classes at your local recreation center or community college. Even though you are only 12 many smaller colleges offer age-less classes for enrichment. Barring that there are lots of programs available either online or in a software package. Punch! is pretty good for the beginner but CAD is the best.

I think that is great! I don't think you need to draw all that well to be able to be a designer. You will get better at it though, I'm sure. You could ask your mom to help you. Maybe you could plan out a design plan for your own bedroom and see how it all comes together. They have a lot of programs on the computer now that will help you draw it all out. Just keep practicing!

You're way too young. You'll change your mind a dozen or so more times before you mature enough to really make up your mind. Don't limit yourself now.
