Our bathroom sink & tub both got almost completely clogged at the same time. I'm guessing the blockage is below where the two drain lines connect. I got 8 feet of snake into each of the drains (with much effort) & pulled out only 2 little globs of gunk.

It seems I need to call roto-rooter or a similar sort of service, although I've never dealt with one before.

What can I expect them to charge?
What questions should I ask when I call?

Thanks!!!

i always have this problem about soap.
each time after i use my soap, i will put my soap in a soap case. but each time i want to use it again, the soap will be like very soft and fluid like saliva below the soap where it touch the soap case surface.
can you get what i mean? i am not that good in explaining. but if you can understand what i mean, can you tell me whether you had this problem before or not. and why is it like this? and how to prevent it?

I enjoy staining and varnishing but am always looking for tips on easier or better ways to do it. Can you let me know the steps you use to take you project from raw wood to the finished product and what you use. What grit sandpaper do you use on each step.
Thanks!

I was making candles for Christmas presents this year and when I got back from my family's house I realized that the dark green candle wax I used had splashed out onto the counter top. The wax came off but now there are little dark green spots all over it that won't come off no matter what I use. Any magical remedies you have would be very helpful.

This is the first time that I've ever had my own house to decorate, and I'm really excited to plant flowers/garden, etc. However, my backyard is really small. Any ideas of how I can have pretty flowers in my backyard but still have enough room to have people over for a barbecue?

I know that people typically say that the higher the thread count, the softer and more luxurious the sheets. however, i have also heard that some very high thread count sheets are actually not that soft at all. just looking to find the sweet spot.

This expensive coffee maker was a gift ($129 value), and it's great, but it's starting to leak on the bottom of the pot. I can find the website, but can't find where to order a gasket. A new thermal pot costs $40. Any suggestions, other than "Buy a Mr. Coffee"?

Recently I had to get the hot water valve changed on my central heating but since then whenever water reaches its temprature set at the water cylinder it makes a thud noise. Is it normal because it didn't used to make this noise before the valve change. Any ideas please.
