does anyone know why my washing machine always has water in the section where the fabric softner goes..?? The machine works fine, just don't know why this happens...

When the solenoid valve closes, the remaining water in the tube drains into the dispenser. It has no purpose. Just a poor design. A lot of brands do the same thing. If the valve was lower than the dispenser it woulden't happen.

Water enters the fabric softener section to flush out the softener, it then leaves a trickle of water behind to make sure there is no softener left and prevents a build up of gunge!

the water runs thru there to help distribute the fabric softener in a diluted form so the high concentration of softener won't stain clothes.

take draw out of machine(when not use as water enters in here ) wash in sink in kitchen to clean blockage then put back in (there is an upside down U shaped unit .when you put your softener in water enters in here to flush it
into you machine to soften your washing it works by gravity

I get this also when I put powder in the fab tray.This happens by mistake when putting the powder in .And after a wash has been done.

pull the draw out and clean all the residue out with a tooth brush
