I am the tenant on the 2nd story of a duplex. There is a lot of ice on the stairs. The lease stipulates that I am in charge of keeping the stairs secure. Should the landlord pay for the salt?

Are the ball bearing ones that much better than quiet glide. I can't tell the difference between the quiet glide and the regular drawers with no bearings. Should I wait and get a ball bearing tool box instead of getting a quiet glide right now?

And if handy, do you know of a place that would deliver such a snow-blower in Colorado? Thanks!

My question is directed towards the paint and trim. Do you paint first and then trim or the other way around. I've seen it done both ways. My concern is that if you trim first, how in the world do you paint around every single piece of trim perfectly without going crazy? Is there any secrets or tips to that? That is the order I would like: trim and then paint that way I have no dust in the air or on walls. Thankyou

Are they worth it energy-wise...my guess is that using 3 bushels a day at $3 a bushel for 3 months could cost $800...with a 1200 sq. foot house the same heating might be $800 or so....Am I wrong? Has anyone seen a decent scientific evaluation or a non-company site?

Ok so last night i was watching TV and i saw a mouse run across my floor, well today i called base maintence to help come get it out of my house and they said they dont do that, but would bring me a mouse trap or some paper. I said ok and they just dropped it off, Well its one of those traps that snap the mouse in half and the paper is sticky like glue so it would rip the poor mouses feet off. Well i am not going to use those thats just horriable.

So besides lettin it live in my house (which is what i am going to have to do) How can i get it out? With out harming it?

The cable jack in my bedroom is in a really bad location. I have a pretty small bedroom and limited options on where I can move my bed. Needless to say the cable jack is in a horrible location for watching tv in bed. How do most people deal with this problem? Do you simply run the cable wires under your carpeting or do I need to call the cable company and get the jack moved? I really dont want to have visible cable wires running around my bedroom as I think that would look pretty tacky. Thanks for any suggestions you could offer.

I dont really want to take it to Home Depot or anything because its not that big of a deal. Im painting my weight room and I want a marron stripe on the top of the wall, no one is going to see it but me, so I'm not that worried. Should I mix it with blue? Brown? Thanks

once the toilet is flushed and the bowl refils with water - there is a continuous drip from the cistern into the bowl - its as if the balloon ball in the water tank does not reach the required height to stop the water from flowing into the bowl - if i pull the balloon ball up, the water stops flowing into the bowl from the tank. does anyone know how to stop this from happening? thanks

Neighbors twice weekly place their trash butted against my property line. The trash ALWAYS blows/comes in to my yard. The man has come on to my property and cut limbs out of my trees (at the trunk) so his flailing shrubs can get light--after I told him NO. Their cat comes in my yard and there is a leash law in our subdivision. And, finally, their children (they have 3 ages 1-12) throw toys in my yard. I've put up a no trespassing sign but they took it down off my fence. I'm really at my wits end here. I've asked them to stop putting trash in my yard and now they're rude ... they think they're not doing anything wrong. The driveways to our homes are relatively close so I always hear them coming and going. They don't have a patio so they use their driveway as a patio and have placed their children's toys out there for them to play (BIG basketball goal). I'm praying they move..... what can I do to protect myself from these awful neighbors? Help
