My manual garage door (no electric opener) is fubar-ed. It has a large coil spring in the top center and two cables attached to the bottom of the door on each side. One of the side cables has become detached and the resulting pressure is causing the other cable to lock up and not allow it to close. It's not a repair that I'd like to try myself, but I'd like to get the door closed until I can have a professional come look at it. Any ideas?

I have tried to take off the other cable but there is too much tension and I'd prefer not to cut it, but it seems like that may be my only option.

Thanks for any help.

What is the correct way of using a Western Toilet? Being an Indian we have been using Eastern toilets, and thankfully even the trains and many hotels have them. But when it comes to Comode, how does one use it? There are two flaps or covers on it. Which one should we sit on? Do we cover them both when we use flush? Which one to be lifted after we are done? What about the water splash when we poo?

My dishwasher gets stuck between the wash and rinse cycle. I don't know much about such things but I do know sometimes it is less expensive and troublesome to just replace old appliances. This particular dish washer is about 5 years old.

I have a 8 or 9 year old kenmore washer. For the last year or two items are occasionally stained with one or two inch long brown streaks. Sometimes the stains come out on rewashing but not usually. My wife thinks the inside of the washing machine is dirty and has cleaned the clothes tub and the surfaces that could come into contact with clothes - but the streaks still occur. I found a
build up of some kind (not really the same color as the stains) on the agitator. It was a little waxy. I thought it might be a build up of detergent. I rubbed at it with a cloth and it came off with some effort but it is hard to see the underside of the agitator particularly the lower part so I'm not sure if I got it all. We pretty much always use Tide Liquid Unscented detergent. Another fact that may be pertinent is that our water comes from a well and is moderately
hard.

We're at the point where we're considering buying a new washer even though this one has no other problems. Any ideas?

My bedroom walls are boring, bland and just plain white.
Color scheme = Dark hunter green, Mint(ish) green and of course white lol.
I don't know what I'd call it... it's pretty modern with a touch of elegance.
Not into the poster thing and I'm completely clueless of what pictures I would put up.
Any suggestions? Oh! Photo examples would help alot!

Have a nice day =)
