Sadly, yes! I have to put poison traps around my house (inside and out) to kill them, otherwise the smell they create when inside is disgusting! I make sure the traps cannot be reached by other animals or kids, and you need to check them often to make sure they are being used by the mice - if not move them around until you see that the poison is being eaten. You are not alone, and it is not a sign of uncleanliness, it is just rodents trying to stay warm. Good luck.

No matter how clean your house is rodents will find a warm and cozy place for the winter. They will also look for a food and water source which could be a pantry to pipes that have condensation on them.
I use the electric outlet units and have not had any problems since then, we live in the country with meadows and moutains surrounding us so those pesty varmits were always trying to get in but now since we use the electric pest chasers no more rodents!

YES, I live in an old house and I go through this every season at the beginning of winter. I have about six traps that I set. I kill between three and six mice every year and that is it.

Mice also seek warmth in the winter. if you have provided openings to your home why would they stay away. Warm is warm and I suspect they are not that particular.

That would make sense, considering I live in a wooded area. I have cats, so they don't bother to come here. It's a good thing too. I'll always have a cat just for that reason plus it helps that I love animals.
