You cannot force your neighbor to make a higher fence. If it is along the line of your propertys then you both have a say in the fence. If you want it higher go ask. Maybe you can help buy the materials because it is you who wants it higher. Good luck!

No, if you want a higher fence to protect your privacy then you should offer to pay for the fence...who knows maybe they like looking in on you. The only way you could potentially force them to put in another fence is if the fence they currently have is old and their pet is coming into your yard because of it.

No you can't force them, in fact they do not have to have any fence at all. What about you erecting a second fence alongside that is taller. Or plant some tall hedges.

Build your own fence to the height needed to block their view, if it is that important to your privacy.

doubt it.. here in my town there are rules to height(6').. also i cant build my garage over a certain height.. reason.. it will block my neighbors view.. thats bs in my book.. one way around it was to make it look like my house.. (barn shape) If my neighbor asked me to raise my fence.. only 2 out comes.. 1-you pay for it 2-put your own up
