miranda25 stated an important fact. Acetone is the active ingredient in nail polish remover. It is also the best remover for super glue. If that didn't work, you are in trouble. Acetone will dissolve some plastics, so be careful with it.
Things like the various goo and/or paint removers won't touch superglue, it is an entirely different chemical. Nail polish remover is a bad thing to use on electronics, it leaves too much oily residue.
Did you really get the glue that far into the control? Is the control on the stereo or is it really on the speaker, as you stated? Will the knob come off?

Everyone that is telling him that he needs to use Nail Polish Remover- Acetone (which he used) is the ingredient in Nail Polish Remover that makes it remove polish and glue.
Most likely, the Glue remover or finding a way to scrape it off is going to be the only way if Acetone didn't do anything.

Nail Polish remover is my favorite, however you might want to go to your local hobby shop and they do sell a super glue remover.
The only issue is that if you glued plastic, the remover is probably going to make a bigger mess and either discolor plastic or in some cases even start to disolve it

most places that sell super glue also sell super glue remover. The other general purpose solvent that works on most glues is called "Goof Off". But, be very careful as it is flammable and should be used in well ventilated areas.
