Definitely get the fly tape, you can get it at Lowes or Home Depot I think. A few Summers ago we had a really bad fly problem and fly tape helped a TON. It is kinda nasty though because of all the dead flies on the tape after a few days...but it gets rid of them!

Get a cat. They'll catch (and eat) the flies for you. Mine does all the time. Watching the flies is entertainment for the cat also.

I am giving out a top secret which is part of the effective military warfare. To protect yourself from the enemy, bring him to a place far-away from your home and destroy him.

Same thing with the flies, bring them outside of your house, and destroy them, if you want to. In other words, lure them outside with a plate of their favorite taste, and win your war from there. You may lose some of your precious food, but you will save your home from their terror.

Make sure you keep your doors and windows shut. Patch your screens. Get a fly swatter. You can also suck up flying insects with a long handled vacuum cleaner.
