It's a trade mark of it's origin. This candle holder may be worth something. Have it appraised.

I watch "Antiques Roadshow" alot and silver pieces with a makers mark tend to be more valuable because you can trace the ownership and tell how old the object actually is. Depending upon the condition you could have a real treasure on your hands.
