I was making candles for Christmas presents this year and when I got back from my family's house I realized that the dark green candle wax I used had splashed out onto the counter top. The wax came off but now there are little dark green spots all over it that won't come off no matter what I use. Any magical remedies you have would be very helpful.

try googone. You may also want to try putting a cloth over it and ironing- to see if that will take the residue off.

Try making it warm again by buring a lighter near it then remove the warm wax (not hot) with a butter knife.
