We got our septic tank pumped about a week ago and now its starting to smell like sewage inside the house. Does anyone know why, and if so, how we can eliminate this odor. Thanks for your help...

I only have 2 days to get it done and not much money to spend, so I was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas that I can do to save time and money...she will be 9 next month. Even if there are some free websites anyone knows of will be helpful. Thank you, and Happy Holidays to everyone, and hoping everyone a safe New Year.

I just decided to use a front loading commerical washer today and everyone else's loads seemed to have more suds than mine. I used arm & hammer liquid detergent and I just poured in what seemed to be tons of soap, but still not alot of suds. These are the HUGE washers that hold 4 loads of clothes. I put in more than enough for 4 loads yet not really any suds, any tips/suggestions?

I've always found Zippo's method of storing fluid - soaking cotton wool - rather crude.

1. Are you meant to fill it till it's thoroughly soaking (I read it's meant to be so damp that lighter fluid can pour out of it!)?
2. Is this cotton wool system really that effective?
3. Once fully filled, how long can it be expected to last?

We live in the midwest, Southern Illinois. What is the probabilty of us growing oranges and the best way to do it? It is only for our personal consumption and we're not looking for an orange farm or anything like like. We have had an apple tree, cherry tree. plum tree, and a full garden that all produced well for us. My husband believes that you must have certain climate conditions (either the south or the west) to grow oranges but I'm not so sure about that.
Your thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I just got this two sided pillow top mattress from my sister-in-law and it smells like it came from a smoking room of a hotel. I have used Fabreez and my carpet shampooer on it. What next?

They had mirrors over every size and shape all over the place. Does anyone know why people do this? I've heard something about spirits but I don't think I believe that. They were a young couple, late 20's. We took most down but they are in places where you don't need mirrors. What do you think?

We live in a single bedrrom apartment and I don't want to keep a rack near the door with shoes seen and sometimes smelly out there. We presently just keep them under our bed. But it's hard to find them and they get lost. Please suggest an alternative for organized living. Appreciate your help in advance this regard. Merry Christmas everybody.
