We live in a single bedrrom apartment and I don't want to keep a rack near the door with shoes seen and sometimes smelly out there. We presently just keep them under our bed. But it's hard to find them and they get lost. Please suggest an alternative for organized living. Appreciate your help in advance this regard. Merry Christmas everybody.

i would either say in your closet at the bottome or sometimes if you have a big shelf across the top you could put a shoe rack there....

or do you have a little laundry spot in your apt?? you could put them there....

OR...instead of out in the open by the front door look for a large chest or something you could place next to the doorway or somewhere in the facinity and you could then put them all in there...

Goodluck! and Happy Holidays!!

There are rubbermaid underbed boxes with wheels on them you can roll them out and toss shoes in then hide until needed. Buy some cedar chips in bags sold in the closet section of Walmart or bed bath and beyond stores they ward off moths and absorb moisture and odors. Stuff them in your shoes.

If you have a hall closet, you can get a shoe organizer and place your shoes inside the closet, where they will be neat, organized and within easy reach!
