I only have 2 days to get it done and not much money to spend, so I was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas that I can do to save time and money...she will be 9 next month. Even if there are some free websites anyone knows of will be helpful. Thank you, and Happy Holidays to everyone, and hoping everyone a safe New Year.

Our grandkids got that for birthdays last yr. One has a jungle theme. A friend painted one wall with a palm tree and flowers and vines. then clouds on the other wall and some butterflys. I think the best thing for a 9 yr. old would be to do it together. Let her choose. Go to a decorating store or even Lowes. Look at the border books, on line too. Wallpaper.com has them. Just to get ideas...then use the ideas for the theme and paint and colors that she might want. Paint is cheap. Buy acrylic craft paint at wal mart for the art. I did my nieces yrs. ago I painted mushrooms and lady bugs. It's all about fun and being creative. Then You can buy those sheer mosquito nets cheap these days for over the bed. Maybe paint the furniture that she allready has...not expensive. Be creative. She may just like geometric shapes on the wall and colors. Then curtains to match, plain colored ones are cheap too and after Christmas they'll even be cheaper. So, make it a fun thing to do together and allow her to be creative and you do the hard work. lol She will love it. Make her a card with an I OWE YOU!!! Atate what she can do and when you will start...maybe over the winter break. Good luck. Larry D that is a nine yr. old not 9 month old silly!!!

well, A, some people who have answered this question clearly cant read... show me where the question says the daughter is nine months old!
Anyway, HGTV is a good idea and target does have good bedroom stuff. I would suggest not doing anything overtly, "little girlish" because chances are, she'll want to do it again in a few years if you do. Go for solids and stripes in bright colors and offset them with white linens. Paint, if you have the time, is the cheapest way to completely change a room. Also, for high impact, you could stripe one or more of the walls in two paint colors using blue tape for a crisp edge. Check out www. behr.com for more ideas. Also, pottery barn kids has nice things but is a bit pricey. they are good to use for initial ideas. Good luck and I hope your daugther likes her gift!

Target has the cutest bedroom stuff for that age. All sorts of bedspreads, curtains, pillows, and like cutie lamps, etc. Plus they are very reasonable with the prices.
