I want to decorate a brick area. How do I attach, say, a wreath, or some other type of hanging holiday accoutrement without hammering a nail into brick or mortar? (the area in question in the front side of a brick wall)

the bathroom vanity has a light bulb which blew out. never got around to replacing it. turned the light on the other day and sparks rained down from the empty socket. I could smell smoke and there are actually 2 burn marks on the light fixture. what happened? how deep is the damage? i'm worried about an electrical fire now. strange thing is, the circuit breaker never turned the power off to this current. what gives?

Microwave / Oven

Burned Food:
When I bake food like croissants or biscuits, I put them in the middle of the oven. The top of the food gets black, the bottom is not finished. When I remove the food too early, it is not finished. When I remove it later, the food is burned. I tried to put the food lower, but the same problem happened. The bottom burned and the top was not finished. The oven does not bake correctly.

Beeping:
The microwave beeps 4 times when food is finished. If you don’t open the door immediately, beeping continues. I could only lower the sound but I can not turn it off. It is extremely irritating and annoying.

Injury Danger:
When I cleaned the oven, I cut my fingers because of sharp pieces. There was no warning in the user manual about injury danger.

Loose Handles:
The handles of the microwave and oven are loose. You can not just use a screw driver to tighten them. You have to disassemble the door.

Steam:
When I bake, the glass gets steamed. The problem is that I can not wipe of the steam because the steam is inside the glass.

Light Bulb:
After only a year and a half the light bulb for the microwave burned out too early. Since I knew that to replace a light bulb all I had to do was unscrew the bulb and replace it, I thought that this would be a very simple procedure. But I was wrong! To replace the simple light bulb I would have to call Whirlpool Customer Service to have the light bulb replaced. It sounds like unfair business practices or fraud. The light bulb and filter problem are not normal and it was not clear.

Filter:
The filter is dirty. I can not change it. There is fire danger because of fat and there is no warning in the user manual. It is unhealthy to cook food with an old filter. There was no information about the light bulb and filter in the user manual.

I have a 5 year warranty on all built in home appliances. I wrote Whirlpool an e-mail.

Do you have same or similar problems?

My landlord took the house off of the market when I started leasing the house. I signed a 1 year lease agreement. Now out of nowhere he came to me and says, "I have a lady that wants to buy the house and if she buys the house she is not going to lease it. She would like to live in it!" Is this legal? Can nothing be done? I signed a 1 year lease with the intentions of being there for 1 year, now if he sells this house can he just kick me out? (we are only 4months into our lease)

Every time I use the washing machine, I notice a few hours after, that there is water in the bottom of the drum.
The only way to clear it is by running the cycle again which means I have to use the machine twice for every wash - once to clear the drum, and once to wash.
Because it happens every time, I have to leave the water and so it smells but how can I stop it entering the machine. It is a Hotpoint Electronic 1000 Plus 9534.

I have tried turning the blue and red valves off after the wash but it is still happening. Thanks for any help.

There is a large plant in my office that is too large for the largest pot that I can find and my boss wants it separated into two plants rather than just planting it outside. Its a (forgive me for ruining the spelling) shaflaira.

I'm staining it the same color. I've already got most of it sanded except the trim with has little 1/2 inch niches in it. It will be hard to sand it without ruining the details and their shape. Can I leave them be? Or just sand them a little bit?

My Whirlpool dishwasher is a nightmare. We did not expect that an appliance can be that bad. I have to rinse every single item before I put it into the dishwasher. The user manual says I should adjust the machine to rinse for every new item that I put in. It is absurd to waste time, energy and water for every single cup. I tried to put a coffee cup which I did not rinse before. It only had minor coffee spots on the bottom of the cup. Even this minor spot was not cleaned in the dishwasher. I recently asked people. Nobody has to rinse his dishes or has to adjust extra rinse, because they don't have Whirlpool dishwashers. Even their dirties dishes come out clean.

Do you have same or similar problems?
