The most important part of a paint job is preparation. It is the most time consuming. For a house with existing paint in poor condition I would charge 18 an hour for prep. Prep includes knocking off loose paint, caulking all gaps priming all bare wood. I live in a very wet area & most homes need to be pressure washed after pre-treatment with bleach solution to kill mold. If mold exists a primer is a must for whole house. Use your local paint store for info on what products are good to use & what to charge per sq ft in your area. Sherwin Williams Paint is very contractor friendly. If I use primer I get it tinted one shade lighter than finish coat. Light over dark or dark over light is another good reason to prime with tinted primer.

Seeing as you may be doing this for the first time. Charge what you get per hour in your real job. I am experienced and I get 100 a room for friends. Non friends it goes up. You should charge what you think you are worth. Start with what you get paid normally. Good Luck

$18 per hour. Anything else is slavery. Do it by the hour, not the job.
I would expect to pay at least $2000 to paint my house.
Particularly if the house is sided with wood, you might have to first scrape the old paint off!

It depends on the size of the house. Are the walls damaged? Do you need to remove border? Do you need to buy any supplies? Have the customers applied the primer yet or do you have to do this first? There are alot of questions that need to be answered first.
