I want to decorate a brick area. How do I attach, say, a wreath, or some other type of hanging holiday accoutrement without hammering a nail into brick or mortar? (the area in question in the front side of a brick wall)

There are various sticky fasteners that you can find at Home Depot. Also, if your brick isn't flush with the mortar (sticks out a little), I found this website: http://www.brickclip.com/faq.php. I have no experience with them. Finally, try DIY network (DIY.com, I think) or HGTV.com. They may have more tips. Merry Christmas!

bend wire over the top of the wall to hang stuff on. Anchor the wire in the ground on the back side of the wall using something like a tent stake.
