What things can I mix/dissolve in jars of water (for decorative purposes) to produce different colours. i.e. How do I produce a jar of red water, blue water, etc. The exact colour doesn't matter but I want the jars to be a uniform colour and, if possible, I want them to stay the same colour.

Help! Every other house in my neighborhood is decorated and I look like a scrooge!

I need a quick and easy project that will look good.

I don't have any bushes or shrubs but I do have two oak trees in my yard. I've wrapped the lights around the base of the tree but need a little more zing.

've tried staking the lights to the ground on the perimeter of the yard, but I can't find any of the proper stakes and some of the lights are going in the wrong direction.

I am doing a contest at work where we have to make a wreath with a team. Since we are near the ocean I though a wreath covered in sea shells would be nice. Since the surface of the shells is smooth because they came from a craft store I don't think hot glue will make them stick. Is there any kind of craft glue I can get from a local craft store that will be strong enought to make the shells stick to the plastic wreath? Thanks!

I have an electric dryer-only a couple years old- and the warranty is out. It turns on, runs the full length cycle, spins, and I can feel the air coming thru the back vent. Its hot when I open the dryer door. The clothes wont dry though-still wet after 3-4 cycles. I already have the back dryer panel off (breaker is off) and there doesnt seem to be any blockage, the filter is clean. The wires look okay-they dont look blown or burnt out. I can fix a lot of other things in the house (water heater elements, garbage disposals) and I want to learn how to fix it for the future- so please dont comment to call someone. I need someone to explain what areas to check in a simple format- where to look, what to buy and maybe how to change it. I would greatly appreciate it- today is my only day off!

My downstairs neighbor told me this morning that he heard dripping on his ceiling around the time I was in the shower (first time he heard it). He said it was really loud and thinks that I'm doing serious damage. He claims a leak ocurred with the previous owner--toilet gasket? And that there was a pipe leak once before several years ago. #1. I know NOTHING about plumbing. So I'm anxious about what kind of repairs I could be in for and how even to begin #2. I have limited info. How do I find this mystery leak? Even if I call a plumber will the whole floor/ceiling need to be opened up to find it? There is space between my floor and his ceiling. #3. A friend suggested that it could be the tub drain and that the tub might have to come out. I bought this place a year ago & the bathroom is really ugly. The previous owner had bathfitters -- or the like installed to create a shower stall with the tub. If the tub comes out, will this require me to completely re-do the bathtub/shower stall?

I noticed that the light were not working in one of my bathrooms.
I went to the garage- noted that one of the switches had tripped. I tried to reset it but no luck. It kept tripping.
I went back to the bathroom. I thought maybe the GFCI outlet was culprit, and I tried to press the test button- but could not push it in. The reset button has NOT popped out. so I cannot reset it. Would you say the GFCI outlet has shorted on itself?
