We were wondering how to keep the plumbing pipes from freezing if you have no heat. We figured we could keep faucets dripping. But then wondered about the toilet. Would that pipe still freeze & possibly burst? Or woud you need to adjust the float & have it continuously run? Mind you this would be if there was no way to heat your home because of no electricity & you dont have a generator. Opinions or ideas?

I have decent & newer windows, but there is still a tiny bit of cold air coming through. What can I do to seal off more of the weather from coming through the windows? What is a good, energy-efficient way to do that?

I have an outdoor shed that has a high pitched roof that will allow an upper floor to be added. The pitching starts at 10 feet. To lay a floor down, what size crossbars should I lay down left to right so that I can place plywood on top of this that will provide good stability for support. The floor will contain boxes and overflow items, but not heavy items such as machinary.

Are 2 X 4 beams heavy enough, and if so, how far apart should they be? I assume 3/4 inch plywood is acceptable as the floor on top of the plywood.

Thanks

Also, the microwave is not heating anymore. This happened a few minutes ago. When I opened the microwave to take the food out, it sounded like the microwave was still on, while the door was OPEN. Is this normal or is there something wrong?

The biggest thing I'm afraid of is: I was in front of the microwave for a while while it was open, and I'm thinking, have I been exposed to radiation? Will I get cancer or die or even get sick?

Our laundry room has the main floor drain and the floor has been wet and there is dirt that is backed up also our basement shower has dirt, (sand and tiny rock) on the bottom of it now. It doesn't appear there is any sewage, just dirt and sand. Is there anything I can do to get the drain cleared or will it require roto rooter or similar plumbers to fix?

Are Oreck vacuums a good buy? I need a good light (as in weight) vacuum cleaner that works well on bare floors and cleans pet hair from carpets. I've tried Dysen but it weighs a ton! Any suggestions for other vacuums? Thanks!

this government just made us put water meter on our communities 75 home wells.

I pay 750 a year already for 2 shares.

question:

for 100 days I have a reading of 10,000 gallons for a family of 4. Is this about right for winter time with no watering outside gardens and such?

What is average?

We have a cap, and if we go over it for the year we pay more.

Well, the title of this question has nothing to do with the question itself, but I bet it got your attention.

Anyway, does anyone know how to tell if a marijuana/ganja plant is male or female?
