this government just made us put water meter on our communities 75 home wells.

I pay 750 a year already for 2 shares.

question:

for 100 days I have a reading of 10,000 gallons for a family of 4. Is this about right for winter time with no watering outside gardens and such?

What is average?

We have a cap, and if we go over it for the year we pay more.

President Clinton signed a UN mandate that home wells will be metered by 2006-7 and ranches and farms by 2008.

This is supposed to be a Tax on us to pay third world countries that lack water.

Its part of the NWO/Globalization world government plan.

Our homeowners are actually pushing this saying we can get government grants to upgrade our tank and such. I and some others were holdouts for over a year until they started charging me 100 a month until I put a meter on.

AGENDA 21 - LEGALIZED STEALING FROM YOU

Agenda 21 [2] is exactly what it says- an agenda. A
TOTAL CONTROL agenda, the worst kind there is. Its
really a variation on the Robin Hood approach as all
the global plans are - steal money (and water) from
those that have, and give it to those that don't.

It ultimately includes putting water meters on PRIVATE
water wells which has already begun in some parts of
America. An ordinary well like the one you or someone
you may know has. Water wells easily cost more than
$3,000.00 to drill, and this doesn't include the cost
of operating AND maintaining them.

This figure does not include the cost of the pump
(hundreds more) and the wiring, piping, pressure
controls, etc... And they want to tax wells ? This
isn't like the county tax used for maintenance of
roads. With this tax, they are NOT going to maintain
your well, only the meter on it.

I have no idea about your usage question, but thank you so much for educating me on this legislation.

I think it's horrible since water is a completely renewable resource...

this is crazy!

Where I live, they use a scanner to read our meters. The likelihood that an electonic scan could be wrong is unlikely, but still possible. If your company is in the stoneage and still reports your usage by a person coming up to your meter and reading / writing, then human error is more likely. Some companies only physically check meters every 6 months, while ever other reading is "estimated" from previous quarterly usages. Another comparison to do, check your last bills final meter reading and compare it to your starting meter reading on the current bill to ensure THAT was NOT changed by computer error. If that number is lower, then that could be where the error lies. I know you say your husband checked everything, but if you have water lines underground anywhere, or under floors that cant be seen with the eye, then there is the possibility of a rupture there and you would not know it until you saw water running in your basement or yard. Dont be afraid to call your company and ask them to review your account for the last 6 months. The error might be with the data entry people. Dyslexia can play havoc with people working with numbers and nightmares for homeowners. Good Luck.

It sounds low to me. Do u have washing machine or dishwasher.
I am pretty sure just 2 of us use more than that.
Was surprised to learn that you have to pay anything, I thought when u have a well it belonged to u and it was free except for electricity for the pump.

I didn't say this,(of course) but if you are as livid about it
as I think you are,I would simply go and get the biggest
loadstone you can find and bury it directly under the meter.I have never done this, yet I am told it really works.
