Are pet circles like crop circles? Do they have anything to do with extraterrestrials?

I recommend that you use a product called Simple Solution. You can get it at PetSmart. Blot the spot first with paper towel and then saturate the spot, enough to go down to the padding...then let it sit and blot after about 10 minutes. It has enzymes that work against the urine and I never have stains. As far as the stains or circles you have already, I'd try the Simple Soln and maybe even cleaning the room all over with a deep carpet steam cleaner. Good Luck.

There are brands of carpet spray cleaner that spray a foam, you spray sections that are about 3 feet by 3 feet, allow them to sit for an hour or so, and then vaccuum when dry. Since they cover such a large area, they wont create "rings" when you use them.

If it were that easy. Soap itself is a dirt attractant if not completely removed. But worse, what probably happened is that the urine flowed down into the pad, and when you clean it, the urine flows back up (capillary action through fibers) which is known as "wicking." Call a professional service or this will drive you NUTS.

Club soda will do the trick if not baking soda will.
