Has anyone one experienced a a cracking in the ceiling plaster as a result of painting? There were absolutely no cracks in the plaster before I began. Now that I finished, I can see several small areas where the plaster is peeling right off. What should I do?

I moved to Texas in July.I have been adjusting to Texas well.I have learn how to deal with snakes, spiders, giant bugs, red ants, funny looking giant flying bugs that looks like something you would see in horror movie, the weather change and wild life. But now I have a new problem that I dont know how to handle. On Thanksgiving it was 75 degrees here and with the turkey in the oven all day it got hot in the house.I had the back door open.I noticed a huge flying cockroach coming in the door.My son killed it.Last night I open the front door.Another huge cockroach came in.I had to kill it and they are nasty.People in Texas says it normal because it is getting cooler outside so the bugs are coming inside. My house is clean. How do I prevent these nasty bugs from coming in? I have kids and pets so Im not sure if I can put any poison down.My youngest just turn 2 years old.I will give up my 5 bedroom,2 bathroom house on 3 acres of land before I live with flying cockroaches.

Hey!
As a kid I saw a photo (A very common one I think most of you may have seen variations of) with a HUGEUNGUAS moon behind a tree on a little hill. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for this picture and cannot seem to find it! I have seen many styles of this, but not the one I saw as a kid

It differs from the rest:
1. The tree is off centre
2. The moon is bigger than the tree and looks like it could kill it
3. The tree has lots of leaves
4. The tree is on an unevened surface

Any links of a photo which is or looks like this would be so kindly appreciated!

Thank you

I have a house built in 1958 that had gas added to the fireplace. What should I be aware of regarding getting it working? I asked my handyman to look at it and I wonder what type of professional could fix it? My chimney sweep said to get a plumber to take out the gas line but I would rather get it to work. Who do you suggest I hire to fix it and what should I look out for? I want to fix it lowest cost but safely.

My house has a sliding glass door on the patio that barely moves. The door and fixture it slides on look fine but it seems the wheels or what ever it slides on do not slide at all. I can budge it with a lot of force. I asked my handyman who renovated the house very well to fix it, but he said cannot find the parts. The house was built in 1958 and the walls are made of cinderblock but I think on the patio it is just wood framed around this door, not sure. How do you think I could find the parts to repair this? Or how could I find a person who knows how to get the parts and repair it? It is a rental far from my home so I can't do the work but I want to hire the right person and that is a unique person becuase my very competent handyman can't do it. Thanks for your advice.

I was shocked to find an entire load of wash stained with the ink from a pen that mysteriously jumped into the dryer, (no one left it in their pocket, yea right) My concern is the inside of the dryer has blue ink covering the drum and I am afraid this will trasfer to the next load.
