how much does a 2 storey british house weigh?
Probably a victorian house

I probably want an estimate of the weight which includes dead and live loads

colin s << first of all thanks for the information it seems reasonable as a 3 storey house is around 120 tonnes. Well I need this information to work out the bearing pressure on the foundation so that I can work out the width of the foundation needed.

This was for a construction technology coursework where we had to draw up our foundation to scale. I am using autocad :P easier than pen and paper

its about forty tonnes my children got that ? once as part of there home work still dont have a clue why

Hang on, I'll just go and check. Right, seems to be about 20 stone. Wait till my missus sees her bathroom scales!
