You can find advert in builders magazines, the yellow pages, t'internet or self-build magazines in places like WHSmiths

2 main methods:

trickle heat which is a near surface matrix - about a meter down where the ground is about 10C.

Or deep borehole, this is where you drill down (50-150 meters ) and pump water down one pipe and back up another. This water is hotter than the first method.

Either way, you have a pump, heat exhanger and control system in either a plant room or your utility room

At current enegry costs, it will pay for itself in about 25 years. So you've got a while to go before you can claim its free, and then you'll have annual maintenance costs.
