You need to set the tree in a bucket of water and prop it up... that's what we always did when we bought real trees as a kid, and they lasted well into New Year's. The tree may not be as fresh as the person who sold it to you said it was, unless you cut it yourself there is really no way to know. I'd suggest placing the tree in a washtub or bucket, and nailing a few boards to the trunk to keep it propped up.

If you are continually watering your tree and it's still drying out, you can try putting a humidifier in the room and possibly turning down the heat. If none of that works, I'm sorry to say the tree will probably be dead by Christmas if not before.

I had the same problem all the time. I live in a dry desert in California. I tried everything, from drilling holes in it, using a humidifier and even re-potting it with new manure. Nothing worked!!! People are going to give you little hints and ideas, honestly DO NOT listen to them. I eventually bought an artificial tree. It looks more presentable also. It's environmentally friendly as well. So i recommend investing in an artificial tree

Excessive loss of needles indicates that the tree is drying out, which significantly increases the risk of fire.Try replacing the water in the container daily and this will help prevent the tree from drying out and lower risk of creating a fire; but it also keeps your tree looking healthier for a longer period.

Did you cut off 2 inches from the base before you put it up? If not, you should. If so, I would definetly try a humidifier. You could also contact your local plant store and as if they hav any suggestions.

I'm a guy, and individually, I don't like long nails. I actually know a lot of like very long, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.

A little bit of nail is fine... but I agree with you. Long nails are kinda gross.

A dead tree naturally dries out. If it is not toop bad go to a plant show and get a packet of stuff called Dead Away and it will bring it right back.

Try cutting approximately 1 inch off the bottom of the tree then hammer a nail into the bottom (remove the nail). This might open up the pores of the tree so it might start drinking water again.

Try putting it in a moist area and try watering it everyday...
