I am having the problem were there is a socket that is burnt out end no longer werking. There was a leak on dis socket after I install new plumbing in what was once the bedroom. It was toylet because we a remodeling. We didn't take wall socket out near installation because I like use blowdryer after shower. So then I decide to remove socket. I unscrew end tie up the wires so no current flow trough them. I then cover the wall with a plywood and hammer the screws so no one get electrocute. Then problem is thet after a week, the plywood start get moist en I find evidence of charring and fire. It smell liek burning in what is my new bathroom. Can anybody help me with dis problem? I dont understand what is wrong. Help me. I new to dis country.

Last night i put my washer on as usual and sat down watching tele. I thought it sounded a bit different but left it. This morning when i got up to put my clothes in the dryer they were soaking wet. Now i know it obviously hasn,t spun and i,ve tried spinning it again 3 times since but no joy. What has happened and what do i need to do to get it fixed ?

I have some dry rot on a piece of wood on the roof eave cause from water damage; the roof leak has been fixed. The damage is minimal and I will be covering the damage with Bondo and painting the house.
Question, does dry rot continue to grow in wood after the water leak is fixed or does 100% of the wood need to be replaced?

can anyone tell me what might be wrong with my washing machine? it makes a REALLY loud knocking noise wen it spins, sounds deafening! i cant afford a new one, so any ideas on what it might be so i can try and fix it, had a look inside and the belt is ok, and i greased it a bit but its still doing it. Thanks for any help xx

We got a new thermostat becasue we thought our old one wasnt working, well now we have a digital one, and it is doing the same thing, but only with the heat the air works. Anyway seems that the heating unit wont read the thermostat right. It turns on and everything, but if we have it set to like 74 then it will turn on for like 1 min and turn off and the heat never seems to go above like 68 degrees.

I want to restain it to a lighter... maybe oak shade. I bought PAINT stripper, but it doesn't take everything off so I can see the bare wood. Don't I have to get it all off and down to the bare wood?
Do I have to sand it too?
What about the crevices in the door panels???
Isn't there a wood stain remover I can apply and scrape off??

Lots of questions...yikes!
Hope I am not in over my head because I already started and it's not looking good right now.

My daughter gave me an impatiens for mothers day last year and it had blossoms on it at the time. Since then (1 1/2 years) it hasn't had any blossoms on it, though it has grown quite a bit. I've moved it into a larger pot, gave it Miracle Grow, left it alone, picked off the dead leaves....still no blossoms....please help!

my son came home from nursery school on monday covered in paint. i sprayed the paint marks with vanish pre wash, left it to soak in for a while, then i washed them on a hot wash with biological powder. most of the paint came out, but the black paint remains.... i've washed them again, but the stains are still there. the paint is supposed to be water based poster paint, but i'm at a loss as to how toget rid of it. any ideas on how to get black paint stains out of fleecy cotton jogging trousers ??? sensible answers only please !

Several of my houseplants keep getting a white film/mold all over the leaves that I cannot get rid of it. It is white & powdery and seems to spread to neighboring plants within the room. I have tried lightly washing with dish detergent, spraying fungus spray from the garden center, Listerine, Tylex mold & mildew remover (yes, I’m desperate) and still it comes back. Anyone have suggestions on what to try next?

I purchased a mattress in march 2006 from Regency Furniture. King size set at 900.00. Delivery men bent mattress in half with a big belt to bring upstairs. Mattress now began to sad down middle. I contacted the store and they will be out to determine what the damage is. They said depending upon what the examiners says, they will have to contact the manufacturer to see how they can fix this problem. Other than replacing the mattress, how can they fix what probably is a broken coil or something?

We had these very kind people move in next door, we live in townhomes and given a ground level patio, a little garden in back and front,
Well my neighbors are pigs, ciggerette butts alll over the ground, they do not can their garbage, you can only imagine the flys we havbe in summer time, she grows huge tomatoe plants, about 6 ft, tall , five big bushes, the property is an eye sore. and un mantained.

Now I am affraid to complain, i really like these people as a person, but I am not happy with even inviting people over because my neighbors property appearence. It is so close it is bothersome,
what would you do?
