Whatever you do test any remover in a hidden spot to ensure it will not case damage. Modern laminate worktops have a roll under edge, normally you cannot see this unless you grovel on the floor and look up. In case you wonder the reason for this edge, its to prevent the chipboard from getting damp if you leave wet washing on the worktop. There's warning, and info. Now, Acetone is a solvent, or nail varnish remover (not the 'acetone free variety!!!) Otherwise, Loctite glue remover, they have a technical helpline 01606 593 933.

Hello dear

it's just a commercial

i have in my possession some loctite glue remover !!!

that is the good news.

the bad news is that apparently you cannot use it on certain types of surfaces. i suggest u contact b&q or homebase to c if the nice chaps there will offer u some real friendly advice. i have found them to be really helpful so u could ask. it don't hurt.

what type of surface is the worktop. could u add it to ur question.

get a Stanley knife blade and slide it flat on the worktop it will not scratch the surface if you keep it flat at about 45 degrees. be care full! if you cut yourself with a new Stanley knife blade it will get inflamed because of the oil they put on them to protect them before use. and buy your daughter some new shoes you tight wad. lol

you can buy pure acetone, just soak it for a minute or two, it will melt off.

or try and scrape it of with a knife or wire wool
