I am fed up with squirels destroying all my bird feeders, I have recently purchased metal ones, but they chewed all the plastic covers & perches from the seed entrences. I feed the squrrels nuts but they bury most of them and start destroying new plants.

I can tolerate them, but they are a nuicense.

I live close to a wood and in some years I get overrun with the critters, so I have resoted to a cull.

House was built in 52 and has rock chip stucco (about 1"). The stucco has pulled away from the wall about 1 1/2" (6 ft high along a 20 ft span). There is a slight crack (almost hair line) running horizonally along it.
The surface doesnt budge if you heave against it, It seems sound. I wonder what (other than caulk or cement "fix") I could seal the crack to prevent water from getting in behind. Its too cold to paint right now. This spring I want to adhere the stucco back on to wall. I thought I would be able to make relief cuts vertically down the siding and screw it back down onto the wall. I then could caulk all the cracks, seams and then paint it???? Would this work???? Removal and replacement is out of the question!

Should I rototill now and apply herbicides? Should I do nothing and wait for Spring? Since I live in California, and don't have heavy winters, does the timing matter all that much?

Is it best to run hot, warm or cold water to make sure it drains out to the sewer. I live in an older home and was told my drains may have spurs in them that catch everything. And is bleach a good drain cleaner used once a week?

I have hardwood floors in my apartment, but I also have an area rug that I need to vacuum, so I need one that can do both. I have a stick vacuum right now that's great on the hardwood, but horrible on the carpet. I tend to shed and the vacuum won't pick up my long hairs. They just get pushed around the carpet by the brushes. I don't have too much storage space for it, so smaller is better, and I don't feel like spending a fortune on some fancy vacuum. Does anybody have a vacuum that works great on hardwood and carpet? (the carpet has a short pile)

I have a bath that I'd like to tile and don't know which home improvement chain carries them. I've looked on the Internet and can't seem to locate a store locally. I live in the midwest if that helps.
