We have no space. No wall space. No storage space. No office space. Just clutter and loud tv noise. I want to set up a tiny sacred space for myself to give me some solitude and tranquility. My very own retreat at home. Other than hiding in the tiny postage-stamp-sized bathroom or putting the blankets over my head, I have no space. Any ideas? Illusions of space? Secret to making space in a jiffy? Any response is appreciated!

I want to replace the existing windows in my home with the energy saving windows that are always advertised. My question is: has anyone replaced theirs recently-if so, did you choose the double pane or the triple pane windows. The triple cost about $15,000 to replace the ones in the upstairs of my house, and the double might only be around $6,000. However, if the energy savings is vastly different, then it would be worthwhile to pay more for the better "quality." I am also thinking in terms of resale value-which would net more, the double, triple or does it matter? Thanks for your help!

well i started a peach tree on a bet with a friend that it wouldn't grow (i won the bet) and i realized how stupid it was to start it this late in the season but i thought my friend was going to take it afterwords, lol well guess what didn't happen, could it live inside at 40 degree temps and lower (old farm house very drafty in my room)? the temps have been droping where i'm at, i've got it under a lamp, but it's just poked through and i'm worried that since it's soo new that it cant take the temps. would a plastic-wrap mini greenhouse work? i been wondering if anyone has tried making one, did it work or was the plastic too thin?any other info from people who have grown peach trees( or other trees) indoors on how to do anything with them would really be great. thanks for any and every bit of help anyone gives me. meg

We live in an apartment that has roaches. I told the landlord three months in to the year of our first year but he didn't do anything until 2 weeks ago. I have just recently sent our second year lease back last week. The roaches are getting worse. Is it grounds to request that I brake the lease? I have found a better apartment. When I move I do not want to take the roaches with me. How do I prevent that from happening?

I have an idea for a household product, that I think would actually take off and people would buy. Any suggestions/ideas on where to begin? It would take some knowhow if I were to build a prototype, how do I begin to find those people? Can I go in front of a chain of sellers somehow (say, for example sake, WalMart) and just propose an idea? How do I get this started? I'm willing to talk personal email too if anyone has some serious advice. Thanks in advance...

Does any one know how they do that? You pass a nicely kept yard and the grass is cut in long lines, but they seem to alternate from a dark green to light green? Is the blade height different or do you mow on alternate weeks?

My mother just had new cherry cabinets put in her kitchen. The painter says it's best to polyeuthane the oak panelling that surrounds the kitchen table. Can you stain to polyeuthane to match the cherry cabinets or can you paint over the oak panelling?

It is a metal insert fireplace. The house is about 10 years old, with a very steeply pitched roof. The top of the chimney is a bit below the highest peak of the roof. The chimney has had about a foot added to extend it, but that didn't seem to help.
