Help!!!

Does anyone have any tips how I can restore my black kitchen worktop to look like new? I accidently dripped a couple of blobs of expanding foam on my worktop at the weekend. I wiped it off with soapy water but after it dried the worktop is now discoloured with a grey residue stain.

I have tried Spotlight, but they have gone out of that sort of stuff. I have this sail boat lamp and the sails are this lining. The light globe sits in front of the sail. This lamp is old and is being done up. Any suggestions would be wonderful!!!!

By the way I am in Australia. ;-)

The mark is sort of rusty looking and has only affected the light cream colour on the weaved fabric. I dont know if the dye in the fabric has been chemically altered due to the prolonged heat exposure. Is there any way to either remove the mark or dye it back to its original colour?

It always happen this time of year. My wooden front door gets so difficult to open and I have to nearly rip my arm out from the shoulder to open it! I have used furniture polish, hair wax and even aqeuous cream down the side and this has some effect for just a day. Apart from getting a new front door, which I simply cannot afford, can anyone suggest anything please? I've also shaved down the side of the door too, but to no avail. Many thanks.

Friends and myself are looking to buy a tiny one room efficiency type apartment in Manhattan as a vacation property. We're talking a bed, closet and a microwave along with a tiny bathroom. Any thoughts? Is this a ridiculous idea? How mush would it cost?

I have just had a shower pod fitted, high priced luxury shower and steam room, they said it would take 4 days we are now in the 3rd week, I can't use it because I can't get it to switch on my son got it to work after getting squirted in the eye. there is a hole in the ceiling the new vanity unit is scratched, the pump leaks and they haven't given us the certificates for the electrics which they left bare live wires in the loft and my husband had to fix them because they were a fire hazard, CAN I WITHHOLD THE MONEY?

Our washing machine has started to smell of mould and our clothes smell milldewy. We've tried doing a hot wash with added white vinegar but it hasn't helped. We'd rather fix the machine than replace it as it still works.

my neighbour had planning permission to build a conservatory which has beeen buit for two years. It is only less than a foot away from our patio. It was a stipulation of the planning that the windows overlooking us were both frosted and non opening for privacy.

I have just noticed that they have now started to open the windows thefore the planning rule has been broken. Is it too late after two years to get something done.

ps relations are not at all good - so aproaching the neighbour is not an option

In light of festivites, there is this kids toy called Bomb Bags, which are tiny plastic sachets filled with baking powder and water. Upon mixing these materials by pressing the sachet, the sachet inflates and blows up at a very minute scale.

Being tall, I was the prime target of my younger cousins.

I have got this baking powder+water mixture on several articles of clothing. Is there a way to remove them, now that they have dried on my clothing? I am now trying to soak them in hot water.

Thank you in advance.
