Help!!!

Does anyone have any tips how I can restore my black kitchen worktop to look like new? I accidently dripped a couple of blobs of expanding foam on my worktop at the weekend. I wiped it off with soapy water but after it dried the worktop is now discoloured with a grey residue stain.

I got some of that stuff on our brand-new Zodiaq counters. I found that mineral spirits or paint-thinner will help, but I did have to resort to a razor blade to scrape it off. As long as the surface is hard enough (not wood) you could treat with mineral spirits and then gently and gradually shave the residue off the surface. The mineral spirits will act both as a lubricant and a catalyst.

Not sure, but I work for a wood recycling company and we just got a load of decent work surfaces in at dirt cheap prices. www.aaltowood.co.uk
