It's a victorian upper flat. Heat sails merrily out of everywhere. Lots could be done, but it's going to cost. Any suggestions?

My new place in Canterbury, England doesn't have an enclosed rear garden due to a fence never being erected. Do I need planning permission from the council to erect a 2 metre high fence at the edge of my boundary with the public pavement?

I am about to lay a new small front lawn which has beds on two sides, paving on one side, and a new path to the fourth. I'm looking for something to keep the lawn separate which is practical but not the usual solution of say edging bricks. The total perimeter is relatively small and so materials cost for the edging does not have to be economical, but something creative, and preferably easy to fit and low maintenance.

No one can give a good answer, Only speculation if you don't include the brand name of the appliance. You have plenty of space to better explain the problem. Don't just say(MY WASHER DOSEN'T RUN. WHAT COULD BE WRONG.) You are only going to get a stupid answer if you ask a stupid question. SORRY, I HAD TO VENT.

We are a family of 2 adults and 5 kids living in a medium size 3 bedroom house. I am also pregnant with baby no.6 which is due next year. The council have said we are lacking 2 bedrooms and have given us 115 points but they have explained where we live is awful for larger properties. Whats a reasonable amount of time we should wait for a bigger house...what happens if they cant give us one will I have to keep 5 kids in one bedroom? Please help me I am baffled about how the system works.

especially considering that it would be more enviromentally friendly, made your house warmer, saved you money and only took 4 hours to complete? The reason I ask is because I've been offered a job where I get paid commission for each person who agrees to have it installed. Why wouldn't you have it installed?

Don't you find they love paint and fabrics and it's very tacky? Or would you sign up for the show just to see how creative they would get in your home?
