All answers to this question I have read are good recommendations, but what I have done in the past is this. Go underneath your trailer, behind the skirting, and attach plastic sheeting. Attach this plastic sheeting to the underneath side of trailer and let lie on the ground. This will help keep the wind from blowing underneath.

If you live in a real windy area, place something on top of the sheeting, which is lying on the ground. To keep it stable. Reducing the draft underneath the home will be most beneficial to the rest of the recommendations.

I suspect it is an older one if you are sking htis question. A wood stove is the best bet this late in the year. It will dry out any dampness and as long as you keep it going you will enjoy the warmth. I started out in one of th eolder models, fixed it up, sold it, then bought another, removed the pellet stove, installed a wood stove, replaced th eroof, etc and sold it. Now we live in a beautiful home that cost 250 to build and is worth over a million. What a gas. Oh ya, I do not have a wood stove in the new home, I have gas heat. BYe bye wood and spiders!

Actually I used to vollunteer at our church several weekends thru the winter months. It required setting up cots and places to sleep, preparing and service food (which we purchased out of our own pockets) and cleaning up afterwards, having entertainment through out the evening. Making certain every one was tucked in for the night. Then the next morning making breakfast, serving and cleaning up. So I think you could consider that keeping someone warm, although not in the same way as you have done. Yours is truly lovely.

Get the plastic window seals for the windows. It will insulate and protect against leaks.

Insulante the floor if it is not. Hang fiberglas insulation from chicken wire stapled to beams under the crawl space.

Be sure the doors are weatherstripped
