The rental budget is about £900 a month tops. I'm not so much looking for specific flat recommendations, but areas. Everyone seems to say something different! Is the east really that bad? What is the whole north/south divide about (i.e. people seem to have totally chalk and cheese opinions!). Somewhere which is in a "nice area" would be good, I can't afford more than about £900 a month rent (needs to be a two-bed). What regions of London are developing, that you would recommend? If condemning certain areas, please provide reasons! Thanks in advance.

I am trying to sell a pellet stove and am not sure of the best way to go about doing so. I could use suggestions for alternatives to ebay as well.

Based largely on your search results, your "Top Rated Vendor" endorsements, myself and apparently many others have been robbed by this illegal operation. I am out $333 for merchandise ordered and not received and there is NO WAY to contact the vendor. LOOK INTO IT - YOUR REPUTATION IS AT RISK HERE YAHOO.

buy a narrow strip of land off me. It's only a couple of metres wide and perhaps 20 metres long (exact figure not calculated as yet). I'd prefer not to sell, but I will as they are decent people and never give me any bother. I have absolutely no idea what to charge him. Is there any way which this is normally calculated (eg % of value of my land etc?). This will also involve removing a strip of hedge. Can I insist that he re-instates this hedge to my specification? He wants to put a beech hedge in but it's a hawthorn hedge and I'd rather he keeps it that way.

My grill is covered in grease. Not alot, but enough to make it smoke all the time and have to keep the burners down. Can I cook the grease off by putting the burners on low and just let it go for a while? Is that a safe thing to do or should I just dig in deep and use a cleaner? I really don't need a grease fire to burn down my deck & house.

I switch the boiler on, sounds like everything comes to life , but then instead of the gas igniting I just hear "tick tick tick tick", and that carries on until I get tired and switch it off again. It doesn't always happen this way though, sometimes it lights and the radiators get warm..

My bathroom was built without a shower. We added one. Now the walls were painted. I am trying to stick some self stick floor tiles to it as the wall is not all that stable. They all fell down. Don't want to repaint due to mold and mildew and we are not very well at doing it ourselves. Also cost is important. Please help.

We'd like bamboo worktops, but I want to know how other people find them. Are they hardwearing? Do they mark easily? How often will it need oiling again, and how difficult and time-consuming is it to do this? Is it easy to keep clean?
