I am trying to sell a pellet stove and am not sure of the best way to go about doing so. I could use suggestions for alternatives to ebay as well.

I think I'd try advertising in a local newspaper first. If you sell it on ebay, you'll probably have to ship it somewhere. If it's heavy or bulky, that'll be expensive, and that will keep anyone from bidding very much. Better to try to sell it locally first!

Try Amazon.com. They handle all sorts of merchandise in Stores and Auctions, and they do not charge until sold and list fo 60 days instead of 7.
