I bought a red dress with black poka-dots on it, so I can be a sexy ladybug for Halloween this year. i know that I will never wear the dress again, so I wanna return it after my party. The dress touches my knee, and I want it at my mid-thigh.

How can I make it shorter for just one night, without doing any damage to the dress, so the store will still take it back???

( he's 2 ) and I wanted to know if those thingys would work on that.

Water is leaking insider my freezer and settling the bottom where it is freezing. Water is also leaking onto the floor in front of the freezer. Not certain, but I believe this water is also coming from the water settling in freezer bottom. What could be causing this leaking water?

It's getting colder now and I'm afraid to leave my geraniums outside. The petals come off all the time so I don't want to bring it inside though (it'd be messy). Any ideas? If I leave it out for the winter, will it come back in the spring/summer or would it just be completely dead? Thanks!

I have two outside condensers and I need to knoiw if they should be covered completely over the winter season to keep snow and other items out of them or does covering them create a situation that allows rust to form due to lack of airflow though the unit

I am looking for a very specific type of tree- something a bit different. The image i have in my head is like a five foot tree with no leaves on. One that looks like a dead tree basically but white or cream? And NOT one of those really tacky fibre optic ones. Any ideas where i could find one like this?

We just bought a new home with a well system (which is new to me) in place that was approximately 3 years old. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the home keeps dropping and we keep running out. We had a well technician come out and exam the pump. He concluded that everything was working properly with the well but our water in the well was down to the level of the pump. He thought we might need a new well dug. I then started turning off the pump and water to the house when away so that I could see what happened upon returning. Within a couple days, water pressure was up and we seem fine. Then, one morning I awoke to the sound of water running. I checked the whole house (including toilets). No water was visibly running anywhere inside or out but it certainly was rushing out the pipes. The water pressure went to zero within 10 minutes. How can water be running out of the lines and draining the pump and well when nothing is on?

I'm interested in buying small (no bigger than 2x2 inches) tiles to use to make mosaics. The big-box hardware stores have been disappointing selection-wise and art store mosaic tiles are very expensive, so I'm looking for an affordable option. Saw an ad in the paper for Buddy's and am wondering if they have small tile (like what is used on bathroom floors) in multiple colors at reasonable prices, and if they are even open to the public or just to contractors. Any information on this particulate store or other options would be most appreciated. Thanks!
