Would first clean the orifice and heat sensor. If there has been some damage to furnace cabinet over the summer you may also be getting to much air flow through the firebox and damage will have to be corrected.

It sounds like the pilot light line may be dirty. The thermocouple has nothing to do with the pilot light staying on or going off. The thermocouple is made of two metals and when it is heated up by the pilot ligh produces a small milli- volt electrical charge to open the solenoid to the burner. You could change it out if it looks worn as you clean the pilot light. Make sure the flame is high enough to prevent a small down draft from blowing it out. There is a small screw on the line to the pilot to raise or lower the flame for the pilot. Problem is not the thermocouple.

You need to have the furnace checked if the pilot is going out frequently it could be a crack in the heat exchanger, not venting properly, an air adjustment or several other things. If it is the thermocouple usually it will not stay lit at all. You really need to have it checked for safety reasons!

Probably needs to have the flame adjusted to hit the thermocouple or the thermocouple needs to be replaced. It's a little tricky to diagnose because the amount of electricity needed to keep the pilot valve open is tiny. Most service guys will have a thermocouple with them.

sounds like you may have a bad thermocoupler( the part that closes the pilot light valve to stop a gas leak in case the pilot gets blown out)

Three thing's ! first is that you might have a small hole somewhere in your line which will create air pockets in your gas line.Second thing is that you might have to clean the pilot hole with a needle. Third thing is if you have a adjustment screw for the pilot turn it up a little.
