Is it okay to store upholstered furniture in a garage if I cover it with bed sheets? I'm in Texas and there are mostly warmer months during the year.

I f the garage is mostly dry it is fine, but dont use bed sheets, use blue tarps. You also will want to avoid using palstic(the clear stuff)because it can not breath and will hold in moisture, and mold eventually. The blue tarps are what peolpe at least here in Illinois use for covering their split fireplace wood in the winter to keep snow off of it.Lastly you also will qwant to raise the furniture up off the ground using either milk crates,or pallets.Put moth balls inside all the furinture to keep rodesnts, and other peset away!Good luck!

If I know the person who is having the garage sale and that they are clean and good housekeepers, then yes. Small town, everyone knows everyone. From a thrift store, no, I wouldn't. You can get fleas, roaches and all kinds of bugs.

Don't leave it there too long. If there is any dampness at all, the fabric could be ruined by mold -- despite covering it well with anything. Would it be more pracitical to try and sell the furniture? Then when you need it again, buy new stuff.

No bed sheets will not keep it from getting dusty and dust mites.Cover with plastic and duct tape the plastic down to keep it from coming loose.I have done this before and it works fine.you can find large sheets of plastic at walmart or Lowes, Homedepot. They are not expensive at all.
