I'm looking for a small, electric water heater that could be directly hooked up to one shower/tub. Does one exist? If so, where could I find a resonably priced one? Thanks!!

They have tankless heaters but they are not "cheap". They are a bit expensive but the savings will pay for the unit typically in 3 years.

Standard electric water heaters can be purchased at home improvement stores as small as 5 gallons for under $100. But 5 gallons will not be a long shower. The new small instant water heaters run about $500 and up.

There are small "instant" or tankless hot water heaters that can be put in under the bathroom sink to heat water. It might be a challenge in getting it hooked up depending on where your water pipes run. You can put it on the hot water supply line to that bathroom and it would keep the water going there nice and hot, even if the main waterheater runs out.

I found a product that goes on right before the showerhead.

Personally I'd want the thing out of sight, but it should do what you want.

GE and many other companies make a small 10 gallon water heater which can be either electric or gas. They usually run less than $100 and can be found at any Home Depot or Lowe's type of store.
