I'm interested in buying small (no bigger than 2x2 inches) tiles to use to make mosaics. The big-box hardware stores have been disappointing selection-wise and art store mosaic tiles are very expensive, so I'm looking for an affordable option. Saw an ad in the paper for Buddy's and am wondering if they have small tile (like what is used on bathroom floors) in multiple colors at reasonable prices, and if they are even open to the public or just to contractors. Any information on this particulate store or other options would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I would guess that you have a variety of different options. Although I am not sure if you Norwood has a Home Depot or Lowe's home improvement - I am sure that if you are within reasonable driving distance - either of these two places would have what you are looking for. Generally, Lowe's sells broken and or scrap tile by the bucket (5 gallon) for around ten bucks. Also, in doing research about granite tile for a job - I noticed a that eBay has many different on-line stores that sell scrap tile for very cheap (even granite). So no matter what look you are going for - you will likely find the type of tile that fits the job. I hope this helps.
Good luck

Use the magic time saving device known as the telephone.
I'm sure they would love to chat with you about their product selection. :) If they were only open to conractors, they would have listed that in their ad. And if they don't have what you're looking for, ask if they know who does. Retail places know who the competition is and what they carry.
