The water is not pumping into the machine. The lights come on but nothing else happens. I've checked the filter but there is nothing in it. What else could be causing this problem? It's been working fine for days.

I moved into a flat yesterday that is in quite an old buidling and was surprised to find that when I ran the cold tap a strong sulphur smell was present. Is this normal or could there be a problem?

Winter is coming, we can't leave the windows open for very long time and washed clothes won't dry easily if we just hang them out in the room. What is the best way that minimises the drying time? Shall I hang them out next to the radiator, window, etc.? What works for you?
O, and we don't have a washer-drier or similar.

I am trying to obtain a wide variety of ribbon for making ribbon watch bands. Stripes, dots, patterns, etc. I've come across some good sources, but they only seem to offer stripes and dots...hoping for something with more variety. Thanks!

Who do I buy land from? I'm tired of shelling out half my salary to 60 year old crystal meth addicts. Will global warming eventually stir things up if I decide to move to this tax-free wintry paradise?

We are in the process of buying a victorian house and the survey has flagged up that urgent repair may be needed on the back bedroom roof. I just wondered if anyone could give me a rough idea of what this will cost to sort out as I have no idea at all and wanted to know what kind of amount we are talking of before I take it any further.

A lot of people had emigrated here, I wonder what''s so good about here, people here are not very nice and even in private apartments, the most number of dogs you can have is only three. So many laws to follow and the houses are so small and expensive.
And the worst is that it doesn' t have the four seasons. You can get sunburn easily and the snow city doesn't amaze me. people here play all day annd people in singapore have a large percentage with myopia. Sad but true, the most in the world.

It rains often where I live and I also have heavy clay soil. Wearing shoes or boots in the wet garden means tons of soil sticks to them and also causes soil compaction. However, walking barefoot in the garden does not cause this if the soil is not totally saturated.

I have found that working in the garden barefoot has made me a better gardener in that I can tend to weeding and harvesting quicker after it rains. To wear shoes, typically we must wait 2 to 3 days before entering the garden to accomplish anything, so weeds tend to grow out of control and produce gets overly mature.

There are still some tasks that cannot be done, for example, beans should never be touched when the plants are wet -- that is an old wives tale that is true. But, basically, barefoot gardening is a good thing. If you have never tried it, I recommend it some time.

I was going to purchase this house and the fireplace was dark green marble with small white lines, the owner has already painted the room light green and white I don't like it at all. I wanted to know what color goes with green marble? I thought about grey, with white trimming then I thought about red but that is to holiday looking, then I thought about cream or like a tan. Please help. Any other light colors?

I live in a 1976 condo. I have recently remodeled by bathroom to include a washer dryer. The Board found out about it and they want me to take out the washer/dryer plus restore the bathroom to its original plumbing. Can the Board do this? I thought the Board can act only on common areas. Is the plumbing on the bathroom considered common area?
