What if you live in an apartment and there are people above and below you from all directions? Say, you live on the 3rd floor, and there are 3 floors below and the street. Also, there are 10 floors above in all directions. I can't possibly see my own apartment from every place. I hate to be putting on a show for pepping toms and janes every night.

When I turn the curved side out, I can look down and see the street traffic. When I turn the curved side in, I can see the sky and the floors above me across the street. Also, the moonlight can come through at night. Does this mean I need to get curtains to go over the blinds? I'm beginning to dislike venetian blinds! :-)

Yes, that's actually the best way to ensure you privacy. The reason why is because a tall person or even someone on their tipy-toes could look down and see in you house. With the curved side facing in they would to look upwards to see in. Even if they manage to see in it is very hard to get the right angle to see what what ever it is they want to see. Also you should put something over the string where the small holes are at to ensure maximum privacy. But the best blinds for privacy are vertical blinds.

Curved Vertical Blinds

First of all you are talking about Miniblinds not venetian. Venetian blind sections go vertically not horizontally. The best way to ensure that no one can see in is to close the blinds with the curve out so they lay flat. Then get some cutains or black out drapes. Dark as night at miday if you like to sleep late and no prevert can see through those.

The curved-out side should face out. To test it is simple. This works best at night.

Turn your lights on, make sure your blinds are set completely one way. Go outside and look in. Come back in and turn the blinds completely in the other direction. Go outside and look inside again.

Do this about ten feet away from the window.

I gotta win best answer for this :) Here it is:

Set the blinds one way, then go outside and see if you can see in.

Come back inside and set the blinds the other way. Go back out and see how much you can see.

Curve out, but it is all about the angle anyway. depends if the pervert is above you or below you. nice and tight solves all your problems.
