My front door is wood and was originally painted with oil base paint. The previous home owners painted over it with fresh latex paint when they put the house on the market. but shortly after we moved in it all pealed off . I'd like to paint it again but I'm not sure how much I'm suppose to sand before I prime it.

Has anyone ever purchased this product? It is usually sold by a door-to-door sales person. I am wondering how well this product works. Don't send me a link to their site b/c I've already been there.

Just wondering if anyone knows, when should you carve your pumpkin? How soon before Halloween? I was born in NY where you can carve up to a month in advance and the pumpkin is fine, but now i'm in Florida and the last few years, I carved a week before and put it outside.Within days it was mush!!! Will the pumpkin last if I keep it indoors carved? Thanx

Other than "don't" does anyone have any hints on how to successfully make that first cut (cutting out wall doors) out of a full 4x8 sheet of birch fibercore? This is on a good table saw (shop). I can sometimes do it, but sometimes I can't keep that sucker straight and the blade will bind up. I have tried centering myself with the sheet, to the left of the blade, etc etc....but I'm in need of some tip/technique here....

When buying a house? A bigger kitchen or more bedrooms. The reason I ask is this, We have four bedrooms, 2 on the main floor, 1 upstairs (its the whole upstairs) and 1 in the newly remodeled basement, but our kitchen is so tiny, we can only have a tiny little table with two chairs. The kitchen backs one of the bedrooms and I was thinking about knocking out a wall to make a bigger room for the kitchen. So what do you think would be better? Keep the tiny kitchen and 4 bedrooms, or knock down a wall to make the kitchen larger? Thanks for your input

i have an old 1790's house that gets very cold. the house has a low piched gable roof, the attic is not useable. it has a small pannel in the ceilling. i want to get bags of the old blown in insulation and shoot it where i cant get to,with a leaf blower and a pick up tube. the problem is i cant get the old cellulose, lose fill stuff anywhere. so i have a woodshop down stairs with a chip colector, if i blow a thick layer in the attic, then spray it with a flame retardent made for coating wood. can anyone see any problems with that?

ALSO, WHAT FINISH SHOULD THE CEILING BE??? AND SHOULD THE CEILING BE WHITE???

I AM PAINTING THE KITCHEN A LIGHT SAGE COLOR, WITH DARKER GREEN TRIMS....... WHAT COLOR FOR THE CEILING???? WHAT FINISHES???????

my contractor told me to buy flat finish paint....because it will hide any imperfections...

but i remember another contractor told me to get gloss paint along time ago when i had alot of wall space without imperfections.

When applying the tiles with adhesive they all fall down. We are putting them on the walls because ran out of other options. They look wonderful until the next morning when they are all on floor.
