i want it to be a strong seam but i'm affraid the pleather might tear. can anyone help?

Upholstery thread is gonna be your best bet, its strong and durable and you can find it at any craft store where thread is available

I have used dental floss to sew many things that needed a strong thread. use unwaxed if you need to color it.

p.s. what the heck is pleather? I think I've heard of it.

I'd use "cat gut", but only if it's "authentic" pleather.
